Art fit for a King

Since moving to Marrakech I’ve been blessed to meet some amazing people.  And I was delighted when one of those amazing people invited me to an amazing afternoon art opening.

But you see it wasn’t just any event. Or any gallery opening.

No, this was an invite to an art exhibition featuring 50 artists, both Moroccan and foreign, in honour of the His Majesty King Mohamed VI’s 50th birthday and in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem at the famous Jeema el Fna square.

Talented. Unique. Accessible. It was a world-class line-up of artists. Perfectly curated to represent the beauty of Morocco.

Following Her Royal Highness’s visit, we indulged in some of the most delicious Moroccan patisseries and freshest fruit juices. After all, this was a birthday event. For the King!
