Tranquility, Romance and Purity: Udaipur

We arrived in Udaipur from Jodhpur, on a 6 hour bus, at 5 o’clock in the morning. The streets were dead(except for the tuc tuc taxis), all the hostals were closed and it was freezing.

So we decided to walk a few km to the famous lake Pichola, picking up some poya’ (typical indian breakfast similar texture to spanish migas but spiced) and a cup of hot chai…

It was still quite dark when we got to the beautiful lake…

We were hoping to see the sunrise but seemed like we got the wrong side of the mountain 😦 still got some nice photos though

We finally arrived at Lal Ghat guesthouse right on the side of Lake Pichola. It is known as one of the longest running and most recommended guesthouses in Udaipur, it has amazing views from the rooftop terrace…
