Life is an endless journey and tryst for a new place always comes in mind when we talk about a vacation and it’s get more special when you make that trip with your newly wed spouse. This happened exactly same way this time with my north India tour of UP, DELHI and UTTARAKHAND. Mossuri was a great place indeed with hilltop apartments and hotels with several kilometers of Mall roads – a more entertaining place for couple to spend time there. City get it’s most charming look in night, mostly in the evening time. I Stayed at Monarch Hotel – one of the hilltop and window looking accommodation hotel with just 2mins of walk from the Bus stop. ITBP center can be seen from there – they have a great training center there. Auto Rickshaw (TUK-TUK) is no more allowed for travel in the Mall road, either you travel by foot or your own car or by Man paddled Rickshaw.
2 places that get attention there is
Anyway I did get the luck to visit the Garden but not the Kempty Falls due to time shortage and too cold around that hilly line. Place is more than 6500 FT from Sea level.
People are friendly and helpful; you can travel whole night without any fear of theft and dacoits. Roads are much risky and almost U turn roads and very difficult to drive and one need to be vigil while driving. I traveled from Haridwar to Dehradun Deer Park and thereafter to
Mansuri Valley and this long way of around 90KM cost me Rs. 2200 by a private tourist car.But while returning back I used Uttarakhand Government Bus service to save cost, people usually think gov. run buses are slow but my experience says that to be false, they are driving much faster and has much control on those roads, as a new traveler you will feel scared as if what will happen if the vehicle will face some kind of accident and how you can save yourself when you fell down from 6000 ft height.

Hi Deepak. For Kempty Falls, guess you didn’t miss out much. Except for the falls, the surrounding is a mess with dirt and garbage. Lal Tibba and Dhanaulti are stunning.
